What Is an AI Agent?
An AI agent is an LLM-driven system that can plan a task, call tools, and act in a loop toward a goal, rather than answering a single prompt and stopping. Given an objective, it decides which steps to take, runs them (querying data, calling APIs, drafting output), checks the result, and continues until the job is done or it hands off to a human.
